Its flooding every where with the wishes of Independence Day

Its flooding every where with the wishes of independence day...but what are our contributions towards it?? We didn't fight the battle against British...we were not born at that time...but can't we try to make this independence successful?? Can't we start loving our country each day(don't show love towards India only on 15th August and 26th January)...stop writing names on the walls of heritages...stop peeing on the roads...stop raping girls(girls are raped even with eyes)...wishing independence won't take our country forward...let us try to make it really independent...let this 15th August be a new beginning...Jai Hind!!!-Arunima Kundu

Respect Women

After reading the book “Forge Your Future” by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, I felt the urge to share this with everyone. I have here in combined some important lines which I had jotted down.
Let’s join our hands in order to bring smiles to billions of faces……… making this world a safer and better place to live in.
...........Let me share a Biblical story with you. The story revolves around the question: Why did God create Woman from Man’s rib, when He could have simply created her from dust, as He created man? God said to the first woman. “When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him from the dust of the Earth and breathed life into his nostrils. After I breathed the breath of life into man, I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you. Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with my creativity. I fashioned you from one of man's bones. I chose the bone that protects man’s life. I …

Germany is a highly industrialized country. In such a country, many will think its people lead a luxurious life. When we arrived at Hamburg , my colleagues walked into the restaurant, we noticed that a lot of tables were empty. There was a table where a young couple was having their meal. There were only two dishes and two cans of beer on the table. I wondered if such simple meal could be romantic, and whether the girl will leave this stingy guy. There were a few old ladies on another table. When a dish is served, the waiter would distribute the food for them, and they would finish every bit of the food on their plates. As we were hungry, our local colleague ordered more food for us.When we left, there was still about one third of un-consumed food on the table. When we were leaving the restaurant, the old ladies spoke to us in English, we understood that they were unhappy about us wasting so much food. "We paid for our food, it is none of your business how much food we left behi…

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2015 (An Open Letter By A Girl To The Defense Lawyer Of Nirbhaya Rapist ML Sharma – I Wait To Be Raped)

Dear Mr M L Sharma, I am a 24 year old girl working in Bangalore. I work in an industry that has very tedious schedules and erratic timelines. I work for at least 10 hours a day and I love my family back home. If I don’t live up to my job and be pretty damn good at it, I will not be able to feed people whose lives are dependent on me. When you were 21, did you have bills to pay? Mouths to feed? Well, I did. And I could only do it because the job, that I have. I say it every day and I say it again today, I love my job. Image source You’re lucky you are a lawyer. No briefs to be rolled out, no creative’s to be made, no overnight set ups, no vendor costs, no artist tantrums, nothing. I bet you have never had a case that has made you stay in the court for 5 consecutive days. I also assume that you rarely even have taken a case that you don’t want to. You study the Indian constitution which in itself is an achievement. My best friend is in Law School, and I imagine how easy her life is. Stu…

Swami Ranganathananda says:

"Are you growing spiritually? Can you love others? Can you feel oneness with others? Have you peace within yourself? and do you radiate it around you? That is called spiritual growth, which is stimulated by meditation inwardly, and by work done in a spirit of service outwardly.""I am not alone in the world. . .We belong to a world. . .The vast world is around us. We cannot do without it. We cannot become human without a human world around us. How much we owe to the world of other human beings around us!""Efficiency and energy comes from emotion, not from intellectual knowledge, which can only direct that emotional energy. But the real impulse comes from emotion. It makes you work at your best."So, work hard; perform all duties; develop yourself; then come and surrender to the highest. Do a whole day's honest work, then sit and meditate; then resign yourself to God. Otherwise, that medita…
